CASTOR Trencher

CASTOR is a well equipped trencher dedicated to cable works with different way to bury. This trencher can dig a trench with a wheel, a chain tool or a jetting tool. Two trenchers have been built by SIMEC, shallow water (CASTOR 1) and deep water (CASTOR 2), in order to enlarge SIMEC scope of works.

• Kind of vehicle : Tracked (bottom crawling) (hard sea bed trenching)

ADDITIONNAL INFORMATION

Those trenchers were efficiently operated by SIMEC for many customers as France cable Radio or EDF in order to bury cable in hard sea bed like clay.
